Bollywood star Akshay Kumar recently suffered an injury while filming for Housefull 5 in Mumbai. Reports suggest that the actor’s eye was injured during a stunt sequence on set. Despite the incident, Akshay is said to be in good health now. An ophthalmologist was called to the set to tend to his eye, after which he was advised to rest for a while before resuming shooting with the rest of the cast.
This is not the first time Akshay has faced injuries on set. In the past, he was injured while shooting for Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty in 2014 and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan Chote Miyan in Scotland in 2024.
Housefull 5 boasts an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Shreyas Talpade, Chunky Panday, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Nargis Fakhri. The film, directed by Tarun Mansukhani, is scheduled for release on June 6, 2025. The shooting initially took place in Europe, on a cruise ship, covering various picturesque locations.
