The Directorate of Town and Country Planning (DTCP), Tamil Nadu, has chosen Rudrabhishek Enterprises Ltd. (REPL), an Urban Development & Infrastructure Consultancy, to develop GIS-based Master Plans for 12 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) as part of the AMRUT 2.0 Sub-Scheme.

These 12 ULBs are divided into two packages. Package 1 includes Theni Allinagaram, Valparai, Udhagamandalam, Cumbam, Bodinayakanur, and Mettupalayam. Package 5 consists of Edappadi, Udumalaipettai, Gobichettipalayam, Dharapuram, Mettur, and Pollachi.

REPL will conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current conditions and identify development trends at a regional level. This will involve a detailed analysis of existing development patterns, identifying potential areas for growth, and formulating strategic recommendations and proposals for both current and future scenarios.

The Master Plan will encompass Blue and Green Infrastructure, Mobility Improvements, Investment Plan, Form Based Codes, Tourism, and Waterfront development plans. It will also include Heritage conservation and climate change adaptation strategies. This comprehensive approach is essential for promoting sustainable development and enhancing the overall quality of life in the region. The mapping of the region will be carried out using drone surveys.

Apart from this project, REPL is also engaged in various other projects in the region for both state and central governments, including Madurai Smart City, Chennai Metro Rail Phase 2, Development Plan for Chennai Outer Ring Road Growth Corridor, Street vending plan for Chennai City, and PMC for CMRL Property Development.
