Andhra Pradesh to Unveil Full FY25 Budget in Mid-November

The Andhra Pradesh government is gearing up to present a comprehensive Budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 around mid-November. A senior official mentioned that a detailed assessment of the State’s financial situation is almost complete, and a white paper might be released before the Budget presentation.

It is essential for the State government to finalize and pass the full Budget before November. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has stated that the new NDA government requires time to grasp the fiscal condition, especially considering the financial irregularities during the previous YSR Congress government led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Prior to the elections, Reddy’s government introduced the first vote-on-account budget of ₹2.86 lakh crore and secured approval for ₹1.09 lakh crore for a four-month period. Following their ascent to power, the NDA government issued an ordinance in July for a second vote-on-account budget of ₹1.30 lakh crore for four months. The upcoming full-year Budget is anticipated to have an outlay of around ₹3 lakh crore.
