Day 4 Bengaluru Test: Rain unlikely, bright skies forecasted

The Indian cricket team is aiming for a remarkable comeback in the first Test match against New Zealand at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Despite trailing by 356 runs, the hosts finished day three at 231/3, still behind by 125 runs.

The loss of Virat Kohli was a setback, as he was dismissed for 70 by a delivery from Glenn Phillips. Sarfaraz Khan contributed with an unbeaten 70, following a solid opening partnership between Rohit Sharma (52) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (35).

India still has a strong batting lineup with the likes of KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin yet to come to the crease. However, the road to victory is challenging for the hosts as they aim for an unlikely win.

The weather forecast for Day 4 on October 19 in Bengaluru suggests a low chance of rain. The precipitation probability is only 2% at 9 AM, increasing slightly to 4% and 7% at 12 PM and 1 PM, respectively. The weather is expected to remain stable throughout the day.

The Test match had a delayed start on the first day due to rain, and on the second day, India struggled in difficult batting conditions, getting bowled out for just 46. New Zealand responded strongly with a century from Rachin Ravindra, guiding them to a total of 402 in the first innings.

As India looks to turn the tide in the match, weather conditions could play a crucial role in determining the outcome on Day 4.
