Sanju Samson displayed a remarkable performance in the India vs Bangladesh 3rd T20I at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday. Samson played an outstanding innings, scoring a century and achieving several milestones along the way.

In this match, Samson became the first Indian wicket-keeper to score a century in T20Is. He also became the second-fastest century-maker for India in this format, with his 40-ball ton coming in second only to Rohit Sharma’s record of a century in 35 deliveries. Although he didn’t break this record, he did surpass an all-time record held by Rohit.

Samson set a new record for the fastest fifty by an Indian batsman against Bangladesh in T20Is, reaching his half-century in just 22 balls. His century included 8 sixes and 11 fours, with a standout moment being when he smashed leg-spinner Rishad Hossain for five consecutive sixes in an over.

Alongside Suryakumar Yadav’s 75 and Hardik Pandya’s 47, Samson’s incredible innings helped India post their highest T20I score of 297/6 in 20 overs, which is the highest by a full-member team in T20Is.

The Indian team came close to the 300-run mark but fell just short, losing two wickets in the final over. Despite this, they managed to finish at 297, with Rinku Singh hitting a six on the final ball.

Overall, Samson’s record-breaking century and India’s impressive total made for a thrilling match that will be remembered for years to come.
