New Delhi: The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 is set to commence on February 9, with the opening match featuring the defending champions, Mumbai Indians women, against Royal Challengers Bengaluru women. This season opener will take place at the Dr DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, creating anticipation among fans as the two teams prepare to compete.

Mumbai Indians emerged victorious in the previous edition, defeating Delhi Capitals in the 2025 final. With Delhi Capitals having lost the last three consecutive finals, they will be looking to improve their performance this season.
