New Delhi: The schedule for the T20 World Cup 2026 in India and Sri Lanka was officially announced today. A total of 20 teams will participate in the tournament, organized into four groups of five teams each. India is placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, the USA, the Netherlands, and Namibia.
India’s T20 World Cup journey will begin with a match against the USA in Mumbai on February 7. Following that, the team will face Namibia at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on February 12. A highly anticipated encounter with arch-rivals Pakistan will take place on February 15 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, with India’s final group match against the Netherlands scheduled for February 18 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Should India advance to the Super Eight round, matches will be hosted in Ahmedabad, Chennai, and Kolkata. If they qualify, India is set to play the semifinal in Mumbai, with the final slated for Ahmedabad, except if Pakistan reaches the final, in which case it would be held in Colombo.
