Top 10 Firms Gain ₹74,573 Crore; HDFC Bank Leads the Surge

The combined market valuation of seven of the top ten most valued firms in India increased by ₹74,573.63 crore during the holiday-shortened week, with HDFC Bank leading the gains amid a positive trend in the equities market. The BSE benchmark index rose by 780.71 points, or 0.97 percent, while the Nifty index saw an increase of 239.55 points, also reflecting a 0.97 percent gain.

Among the gainers were HDFC Bank, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Bajaj Finance, Hindustan Unilever, and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). Conversely, Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel, and Infosys experienced declines in their market valuations.

HDFC Bank’s market capitalization grew by ₹30,106.28 crore, bringing its total valuation to ₹14,81,889.57 crore. The market capitalization of LIC increased by ₹20,587.87 crore, reaching ₹5,72,507.17 crore. Additionally, State Bank of India’s valuation surged by ₹9,276.77 crore to ₹8,00,340.70 crore, while Hindustan Unilever’s market value climbed by ₹7,859.38 crore to ₹5,97,806.50 crore. ICICI Bank’s market capitalization rose by ₹3,108.17 crore, reaching ₹9,75,115.85 crore, and Bajaj Finance saw an increase of ₹2,893.45 crore, bringing its valuation to ₹6,15,808.18 crore. TCS’s market valuation increased by ₹741.71 crore to ₹10,50,023.27 crore.

On the other hand, Reliance Industries experienced a decline of ₹19,351.44 crore in its valuation, bringing it to ₹18,45,084.98 crore. Bharti Airtel’s market capitalization fell by ₹12,031.45 crore to ₹10,80,891.08 crore, and Infosys reported a dip of ₹850.32 crore in its valuation, reaching ₹6,00,954.93 crore.

Reliance Industries continues to hold the title of the most valued domestic firm, followed by HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, TCS, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Bajaj Finance, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, and LIC.
