Thomas Cook India has collaborated with the Tourism Malaysia to host a significant MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) event in Mumbai on February 7, 2025, with a focus on corporate travel opportunities. The event saw the participation of more than 30 CXOs and senior executives from multinational corporations and Indian companies in various sectors such as banking, pharmaceuticals, and electronics.

At 1.55 pm today, the shares of Thomas Cook India Limited were trading at ₹142.40, showing a decline of ₹1.93 or 1.34 per cent on the NSE.

The event, inaugurated by Tourism Malaysia’s Director General Datuk Manoharan Periasamy, highlighted Malaysia’s MICE offerings and potential for corporate events in the upcoming years. This partnership takes advantage of Malaysia’s recent visa exemptions for Indian travelers and direct flight connectivity from major Indian cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad.

Thomas Cook India’s strategic emphasis on Malaysia follows its memorandum of understanding with Malaysia Aviation Group in the previous year. The company intends to utilize Malaysia’s infrastructure, cultural experiences, and value propositions to appeal to Indian corporate travelers.

Rajeev Kale, President & Country Head of Holidays, MICE, Visa at Thomas Cook India, emphasized Malaysia’s attractiveness due to its blend of world-class hospitality, value offerings, and easy accessibility. The destination’s diverse attractions, ranging from urban experiences in Kuala Lumpur to idyllic beach getaways in Langkawi, position it as an appealing choice for Indian corporate events.
