Tata Capital’s ₹15,512 crore IPO has generated significant interest among investors, with approximately ₹4,642 crore worth of shares allocated to anchor investors. The anchor portion of the offering was oversubscribed five times, indicating a strong demand from both domestic and international institutional investors.
The shares were distributed among 68 institutional investors, with notable participation from major mutual funds such as HDFC Mutual Fund and ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund. Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) was also among the entities that subscribed to the anchor round, alongside global investment firms like Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.
This robust oversubscription in the anchor segment has positively set the stage for the forthcoming retail subscription, which is set to open on October 6. The price band for the IPO is established at ₹310 to ₹326 per share, and investors can submit bids for a minimum of 46 shares.
The strong response from anchor investors reflects heightened interest in Tata Capital’s public offering, further bolstering its appeal as the company prepares to engage broader market participants.
