Tamil Nadu Government Undertakes Major Reshuffle with New Department Appointments

The government of Tamil Nadu announced a significant reshuffling of bureaucratic positions on Sunday. J. Radhakrishnan has been appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (Tangedco) and will also serve as the Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Power Generation Corporation Ltd. Meanwhile, Alby John Varghese has been designated the Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Power Generation Corporation Ltd.

Supriya Sahu has returned to her role as the Secretary of the Environment, Climate Change, and Forests Department. P. Senthil Kumar is now the Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare Department, and C. Samayamoorthy will take over as the Secretary of the Higher Education Department. B. Chandramohan has been assigned to serve as the Secretary of the School Education Department, while Sajjansingh R. Chavan has been appointed as the Special Secretary in the Public Department. K. Manivasan now occupies the Secretary position for the Tourism, Culture, and Endowments Department, and Satyabrata Sahoo has been named the Secretary of the Cooperation, Food, and Consumer Protection Department.

Kumar Jayant will be the new Secretary of the Commercial Taxes and Registration Department. Brajendra Navnit, who previously held this position, has been reassigned to the role of Secretary for the Information Technology and Digital Services Department. Maheswari Ravikumar has been appointed as the Director of Textiles, while A. Annadurai will take on the role of Managing Director for the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers Federation Ltd. Kranti Kumar Pati has been assigned as the Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation.
