Studds Accessories experienced a lackluster debut on the stock exchanges today. The stock opened at a 3.4% discount on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), priced at ₹565, below the issue price of ₹585 per share. Following the listing, it fluctuated between ₹560 and ₹583.50.
On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the shares opened at ₹570, reflecting a 2.5% discount. This muted performance was unexpected, considering the strong demand observed during the IPO subscription period.
The helmet manufacturer’s ₹455 crore initial public offering (IPO) was oversubscribed by 73.25 times on the last day of the sale, predominantly due to significant interest from institutional investors. The IPO had a price band of ₹557 to ₹585 per share and included an offer for sale (OFS) of 77.86 lakh shares, without any fresh issue component.
Prior to the IPO, the company secured nearly ₹137 crore from anchor investors. However, market sentiment during the listing appeared subdued, contributing to the initial opening price falling below the issue rate.
In related news, Piramal Finance shares debuted at ₹1,313.90 on the NSE, compared to the discovered price of ₹1,124.20 following its merger with Piramal Enterprises, which ceased trading on stock exchanges as of September 23, 2025. On the BSE, the shares opened at ₹1,270.
