Standard Glass Lining IPO Oversubscribed on Day 1

Standard Glass Lining, a company specializing in glass-lined, stainless steel, and nickel alloy-based engineering equipment, has seen a strong response to its initial public offering (IPO) on Day 1, with a subscription of 13.32 times. The IPO, which opened with a price band of ₹133-140, attracted bids for 27.75 crore shares against 2.08 crore shares, as retail and high-net-worth individuals bid heavily.

The ₹410.05-crore IPO consists of a fresh issue worth ₹210 crore and an offer for sale of up to 1.43 crore shares by Promoter Selling, Promoter Group Selling Shareholders, and Other Selling Shareholders. The IPO has received strong interest from investors, with retail investors subscribing 14.46 times, high net worth individuals bidding 25.43 times, and qualified institutional buyers subscribing 1.82 times.

Standard Glass Lining plans to utilize the proceeds from the IPO for capital expenditure, repayment of borrowings, investments in subsidiaries, funding inorganic growth, and general corporate purposes. The company has a strong track record in the industry, with capabilities in designing, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, installation, and commissioning pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing solutions.

The company has attracted investments from various anchor investors, including domestic and foreign institutions such as Amansa Holdings Private Ltd, ICICI Prudential MF, Tata MF, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The IPO is being managed by IIFL Capital Services Limited and Motilal Oswal Investment Advisors Limited.

Overall, Standard Glass Lining’s IPO has generated significant interest from investors, reflecting confidence in the company’s growth prospects and the industry’s potential. Investors are eagerly awaiting the listing of Standard Glass Lining on the BSE and NSE to see how the company performs in the public markets.
