In a recent interview, a Cybertruck owner shared his experience with the vehicle, reflecting on how his journey began. “Then I got my wife the Model S for Christmas. I started driving that around, and I’m like, I kind of like this,” he said. After enjoying the Model S, he decided to order the Cybertruck and build excitement for its arrival.
Now, his perspective on the Cybertruck is overwhelmingly positive. “Oh, I love it. Everything else to me—and I’m not talking down on anybody else’s stuff—I still love a lot of other vehicles out there—but everything else, to me, those soft lines and everything, it all kind of blends together. The Cybertruck obviously stands out,” he noted. The owner frequently takes the Cybertruck to campgrounds, where it garners attention from children. “I can go to a campground and there are 50 kids that come out: ‘Cybertruck, Cybertruck, Cybertruck.’ I carry little toys inside the frunk so I can pass them out and give them to kids, and they love it. It’s a lot of fun.”
Despite his enthusiasm, he mentioned a drawback. “I can’t really see the front out of the windshield because it’s so long,” he stated, highlighting a practical issue he’s encountered.
The owner also compared the Cybertruck community to that of other luxury vehicles. “When I had my Bentley and I met other people with Bentleys or Rolls-Royces, it was exclusive. They were a little standoffish to other people with other vehicles. I’ve learned that with Cybertruck owners, it’s like, ‘Hey, you want to see it? Come on. You want to test drive? Come on.’ They’re more inclusive.”
Reflecting on the reactions of others while driving the Cybertruck, he recounted a memorable incident in Idaho. “A couple of months ago, my son and I stopped at this place where they had a bunch of bears. This person literally drove through the grass, through the bears, and cut off the other cars to follow me out. And I’m like, dude, who the heck is this?”
The owner’s experiences underscore the unique appeal and community surrounding the Cybertruck, in contrast to traditional luxury vehicle ownership.
