On the BSE, SmallCap stocks Salasar Techno and Power Mech led the gainers, rallying 20% and 15% respectively. Power Mech shares were in focus after bagging a ₹579 Crore order from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL). Meanwhile, shares of Jyoti Structures, JSL, and KEC International dipped nearly 5%.

Additionally, defense stocks such as HAL, MTAR Technologies, and Zen Technologies gained momentum after the Defense Acquisition Council (DAC) accorded acceptance of necessity (AoNs) to eight capital acquisition proposals amounting to over ₹54,000 crore.
