Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut announced on Friday that he is facing significant health challenges and is currently undergoing medical treatment. He indicated that doctors have advised him to limit public interactions during this time.
In a post on X, Raut conveyed his optimism for recovery, expressing hope that he will regain his health by the next year. He wrote, “You have all loved and trusted me. But I have developed serious health issues and am undergoing treatment. I will come out of this. As per medical advice, I have been asked not to step out or mingle in public,” although he did not provide further details on his condition.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his wishes for Raut’s quick recovery, stating in a post, “Praying for your speedy recovery and good health, Sanjay Raut Ji.”
A well-known critic of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and a prominent voice for the Opposition in Maharashtra, Raut is recognized for his frequent media engagements. It was also reported that he was scheduled to participate in an Opposition demonstration against the Election Commission on November 1.
