Ramesh Bidhuri Accuses Atishi of Employing Paid Workers in Delhi Elections 2025 Complaint

Delhi Elections 2025: Ramesh Bidhuri, the BJP candidate for the Kalkaji Assembly seat, has lodged a complaint against Delhi Chief Minister and AAP candidate Atishi, alleging that she filed false complaints and exerted undue influence on the administration.

“Atishi Marlena has employed paid workers from other assembly constituencies for her campaign. These workers have been causing public disturbances and have acted inappropriately towards my party members,” the complaint stated.

“Fearing her electoral loss, Atishi Marlena has begun making unfounded and baseless allegations to intimidate the administration and threaten my workers with false charges,” asserted Ramesh Bidhuri.

He accused her, on January 22, of fostering a climate of “fear” in the Kalkaji assembly constituency, making serious claims of “hooliganism” and using “profanity” against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) members by himself and his associates.

Atishi contended that individuals claiming to be Ramesh Bidhuri’s nephews were intimidating AAP workers by grabbing them and “burning” their campaign materials, including pamphlets.

Bidhuri responded on Thursday, saying, “The accusations made are not supported by any audio-video evidence or testimonies from independent witnesses. Recently, she lodged a false and frivolous complaint against one of my supporters. Even the sole video referenced does not demonstrate Manish Bidhuri’s presence there.”

“Ms. Marlena has also circulated a doctored video to tarnish my reputation and impact the elections, regarding which I have already filed a complaint with PS Kalkaji. The filing of false complaints by Ms. Atishi Marlena to pressure officials and disrupt the peaceful environment contravenes the provisions of BNS, 2024,” the complaint continued.

This development comes as the assembly elections in Delhi approach, amidst escalating tensions between parties over various matters. The national capital will hold its elections on February 5, with vote counting scheduled for February 8.

A three-way contest is anticipated in Delhi among the incumbent AAP, the BJP, and the Congress.

The Congress party, which held power in Delhi for 15 consecutive years, has faced challenges in the last two assembly elections and has not secured a single seat.

In the 2020 assembly elections, the AAP emerged victorious, winning 62 out of 70 seats, while the BJP managed to secure only eight seats.
