Amber Pepper has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Natural Diamond Council (NDC), effective February 1, 2026. Her role will focus on enhancing consumer demand and reinforcing the appeal of natural diamonds, while providing a clear and authoritative voice for the industry.
In a statement from the NDC, it was noted that Pepper is a seasoned leader in luxury brand transformation. She possesses extensive experience in driving commercial growth, digital innovation, and consumer-centric storytelling, having held senior positions at notable brands such as Tapestry, Farfetch, and Harrods.
Most recently, Pepper served as Chief Marketing and Customer Officer and Managing Director at Mytheresa, a luxury digital platform. One of her primary objectives at NDC will be to expand digital engagement with younger consumers, employing data-driven insights to craft marketing strategies that foster emotional connections and long-term loyalty.
Sandrine Conseiller, Chair of the NDC, commented on Pepper’s appointment, stating, “Her global perspective, commercial expertise, and deep understanding of luxury consumers make her an exceptional choice to lead the Council and galvanise the industry.”
This appointment comes as current CEO David Kellie plans to retire at the end of the year. Since joining the NDC in 2019, Kellie has managed the organization’s rebranding from the Diamond Producers Association to the Natural Diamond Council.
The announcement was published on November 26, 2025.
