Navi Mumbai: England international Nat Sciver-Brunt delivered an impressive performance in the ongoing Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 after returning from a minor injury that kept her out of the previous match. In the first innings against UP Warriorz at the DY Patil Sports Academy, she scored 63 runs off 43 balls, helping her team, the two-time champions, set a target of 161 runs.
Sciver-Brunt’s half-century not only contributed significantly to her team’s score but also allowed her to equal the record for the most 50+ scores in WPL history, joining Meg Lanning and Harmanpreet Kaur, each of whom also has ten 50+ scores. Currently, Sciver-Brunt holds the record for the most runs in WPL, and her ongoing form suggests she may achieve even more milestones as the tournament progresses.

In the chase for 162 runs, UP Warriorz faced challenges early on as openers Meg Lanning and Kiran Navgire struggled to provide a solid start. After Phoebe Litchfield, a key player, set off for 25 runs, the pressure mounted on the team.
However, Harleen Deol rose to the occasion, determined to secure a victory. After an earlier match against Delhi Capitals, where she was forced to retire, Deol’s focus and intent were palpable. She scored 64 runs off 39 balls, leading her team to a seven-wicket victory. Chloe Tyron supported her effort with an unbeaten 21 runs off 10 balls, helping UP Warriorz overcome their previous struggles and achieve their first win of the season.
