The cumulative market valuation of seven of the top ten most valued companies surged by ₹1,28,281.52 crore last week, with Reliance Industries and Bharti Airtel recording the largest gains amid a favorable trend in the equity market.
During the same period, the BSE benchmark witnessed an increase of 669.14 points, reflecting a rise of 0.79 percent.
The companies benefiting from this positive trend included Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), State Bank of India, Infosys, and Hindustan Unilever. Conversely, Bajaj Finance, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), and ICICI Bank experienced declines in their market valuations.
Specifically, Reliance Industries saw its market valuation increase by ₹36,673 crore, bringing its total to ₹20,92,052.61 crore. Bharti Airtel’s valuation rose by ₹36,579.01 crore, reaching ₹12,33,279.85 crore. Infosys’s market capitalization grew by ₹17,490.03 crore to ₹6,41,688.83 crore, while TCS experienced an increase of ₹16,299.49 crore, totaling ₹11,39,715.66 crore.
HDFC Bank’s market capitalization rose by ₹14,608.22 crore to ₹15,35,132.56 crore, and State Bank of India gained ₹4,846.08 crore, bringing its total to ₹8,97,769.87 crore. Hindustan Unilever’s market capitalization advanced by ₹1,785.69 crore to ₹5,71,972.75 crore.
In contrast, Bajaj Finance saw a decrease of ₹8,244.79 crore, lowering its valuation to ₹6,25,328.59 crore. LIC’s market capitalization fell by ₹4,522.38 crore to ₹5,70,578.04 crore, and ICICI Bank’s valuation decreased by ₹1,248.08 crore to ₹9,79,126.35 crore.
As of now, Reliance Industries remains the most valued firm domestically, followed by HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, TCS, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Infosys, Bajaj Finance, Hindustan Unilever, and LIC.
