The combined market valuation of seven of the top ten most valued firms increased by ₹96,200.95 crore last week, bolstered by Reliance Industries and Bajaj Finance in conjunction with a favorable trend in the equity markets.
The BSE benchmark index gained 474.75 points, representing a rise of 0.55 percent. On Thursday, the Sensex reached a historic high of 86,055.86.
Among the top ten companies, Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Infosys, Bajaj Finance, and Hindustan Unilever reported gains, while Bharti Airtel, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) experienced declines in their valuations.
Reliance Industries’ market valuation rose by ₹28,282.86 crore, positioning it at ₹21,20,335.47 crore. Bajaj Finance’s valuation increased by ₹20,347.52 crore, bringing it to ₹6,45,676.11 crore. HDFC Bank saw a valuation jump of ₹13,611.11 crore, reaching ₹15,48,743.67 crore, while ICICI Bank surged by ₹13,599.62 crore to ₹9,92,725.97 crore.
Hindustan Unilever’s market capitalisation rose by ₹7,671.41 crore to ₹5,79,644.16 crore, and State Bank of India gained ₹6,415.28 crore, reaching a total of ₹9,04,185.15 crore. Infosys underwent a valuation increase of ₹6,273.15 crore, yielding a total of ₹6,47,961.98 crore.
Conversely, Bharti Airtel’s market capitalisation declined by ₹35,239.01 crore to ₹11,98,040.84 crore. LIC’s valuation softened by ₹4,996.75 crore to ₹5,65,581.29 crore, while TCS experienced a dip of ₹3,762.81 crore, culminating in a market cap of ₹11,35,952.85 crore.
In the ranking of top ten firms, Reliance Industries led the group, followed by HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, TCS, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Infosys, Bajaj Finance, Hindustan Unilever, and LIC.
