New Delhi:

Maruti Suzuki has officially unveiled the Maruti Victoris, its latest flagship compact SUV, which fills the market position between the widely popular Maruti Brezza and the premium Maruti Grand Vitara within the brand’s Arena dealership network. This new model signifies a substantial advancement in design, technology, and safety features aimed at Indian drivers.

The Victoris has already garnered attention by securing a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP, making it the second Maruti vehicle to achieve this distinction, following the Dzire.

Maruti Victoris: Key Features

Exterior

  • The Maruti Victoris showcases a modern design with a sleek horizontal grille accented by chrome, complemented by sharp LED headlamps and slim, pixel-type LED DRLs that offer a futuristic appearance.
  • Additionally, the vehicle features a robust front bumper with a silver skid plate, enhancing its SUV stance.

Interior

Inside, the Victoris stands out with 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and squared-off wheel arches featuring black cladding. The design includes a subtly sloping roofline, blacked-out ORVMs, and darkened pillars to create a floating roof effect.

  • The rear design features contemporary stylish LED taillamps.
  • The interior experience is enriched by advanced, premium features.
  • A large 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display and a spacious touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto greet the driver.
  • For passengers, a panoramic sunroof offers an open-air feel, a first for many Maruti vehicles in this segment.
  • Additional features include a 64-colour ambient lighting system, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, and automatic climate control with rear vents.

Safety

  • The Victoris has been developed with safety as a central focus, which is expected to significantly enhance the brand’s reputation.
  • Standard safety features include six airbags and a 360-degree camera to aid situational awareness.
  • Notably, the vehicle incorporates Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), marking a pivotal step for Maruti Suzuki.
  • This suite of advanced safety technologies, coupled with the impressive Bharat NCAP rating, positions the Victoris as one of the safest vehicles in its category, according to Maruti Suzuki.

Variants and Options

  • The Maruti Victoris offers petrol, strong-hybrid, and CNG options, accommodating a wide range of customer preferences and budgets.
  • Notably, it is the first Maruti model to employ a twin-cylinder CNG setup, a strategic design that optimizes boot space by improving gas tank placement.
  • This engineering solution effectively resolves a common limitation associated with CNG vehicles, making the Victoris a practical and fuel-efficient choice.
  • The new compact SUV is set to contend vigorously with established competitors such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Curvv, and Skoda Kushaq.
