In a special Muhurat Trading session held on Tuesday, equity indices recorded marginal gains. The Nifty closed at 25,868.60, reflecting an increase of 25.45 points or 0.10 percent, while the Sensex finished at 84,426.34, up 62.97 points or 0.07 percent. During this session, both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) operated from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM to mark the commencement of Samvat 2082.
The Nifty midcap 100 and smallcap indices also noted gains, concluding with increases of 0.11 percent and 0.52 percent, respectively.
Among the constituents of the Nifty 50, Cipla, Bajaj Finserv, Infosys, JSW Steel, and Grasim Industries were identified as the leading gainers. Conversely, Kotak Mahindra, Asian Paints, UltraTech Cement, and HCL Technologies were noted as the major laggards.
