Key Pharma and Energy Stocks Poised for Attention on Friday

Pharmaceutical stocks may face challenges following President Donald Trump’s announcement on September 26, 2025, indicating that the United States will impose tariffs up to 100% on imports of branded and patented pharmaceutical products starting October 1, 2025. Trump stated, “Starting October 1st, 2025, we will be imposing a 100% tariff on any branded or patented pharmaceutical product, unless a company is building their Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plant in America,” via a post on Truth Social.

On the same day, the Defense Ministry of India signed a contract with Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) for the procurement of 97 Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Mk1A, which includes 68 fighter jets and 29 twin-seaters, along with associated equipment. The contract is valued at over ₹62,370 crore (excluding taxes), and delivery of these aircraft is expected to begin in 2027 and continue over six years.

Unified Data-Tech Solutions Ltd has announced it has received a purchase order worth ₹27.61 crore for the supply of a new product, which includes a software license, installation, and integration, all to be completed within two months, backed by a five-year warranty.

Supreme Petrochem Ltd has successfully commissioned two new lines of ABS compounding with an installed capacity of 20,000 tonnes per annum at its facility in Amdoshi, which commenced production on September 25.

Fabtech Technologies Cleanrooms has reported securing various orders across key sectors, including solar and electronics with a total of ₹6.97 crore; pharmaceuticals at ₹5.31 crore; data centers worth ₹5 crore; and laboratory and animal house projects amounting to ₹2.60 crore.

RITES has received a letter of award from Talis Logistics in South Africa for the supply and commissioning of overhauled, in-service Cape Gauge ALCO Diesel Electric Locomotives. The order, valued at $18 million (CIF), is supported by a robust vendor base of nearly 105 Indian companies involved in manufacturing detailed components, and is expected to create approximately 11,750 direct and indirect jobs annually for six years, providing a significant boost to the domestic aerospace ecosystem.

Solarium Green Energy Ltd has received a notification of award worth approximately ₹4.34 crore, exclusive of GST, from NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd (NVVN) for a 1320 kW rooftop solar project at AIIMS-Rishikesh in Uttarakhand.

NTPC Green Energy Ltd announced that 25 MW of capacity, part of a total installed capacity of 37.5 MW at a solar project in Bhuj, Gujarat, has commenced commercial operations as of September 27, 2025. This project is managed by Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ONGC.

Kothari Industrial Corporation Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Accademia IUAD, a prominent design university in Italy, to establish a joint venture in India. The partnership aims to create a training center of international standards in Tamil Nadu, initially focusing on the footwear and fashion accessories sectors, and potentially expanding to other disciplines in design and fashion, thus promoting skill development in the sector.

Firoz Cyrus Mistry, son of the late Cyrus Mistry, and veteran banker Santosh Balachandran Nayar have been appointed to the board of Afcons Infrastructure, a company within the Shapoorji Pallonji Group specializing in engineering and construction.

CIL-JSPPPL, the joint venture between Ceigall India Ltd (CIL) and JSP Projects Pvt. Ltd (JSPPPL), has received a letter of award from the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) for the construction of an internal road in Aerotropolis, S.A.S Nagar. The tender cost for this project is ₹509.20 crore.
