Karnataka is taking significant steps to enhance its jewellery export sector by planning the establishment of a net-zero Jewellery Park near Kempegowda International Airport.

During the inauguration speech at the recent Jewellery Expo, MB Patil, the Minister of Large and Medium Industries, expressed the government’s readiness to allocate land for this new Jewellery Park. He encouraged industrialists to seize the opportunities within the jewellery export arena and to consider making investments in this thriving sector.

“Karnataka remains a top choice for jewellery manufacturing and exports, boasting state-of-the-art infrastructure, progressive policies, and a skilled workforce. In line with this growth, the Indian Institute of Gems and Jewellery in Udupi is dedicated to training skilled artisans,” the Minister noted.

The Indian jewellery market reports an impressive annual transaction volume of $32 billion, with major export destinations including the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Highlighting the considerable potential within Karnataka’s jewellery industry, the Minister assured that the government is committed to providing all the necessary support and facilities to foster growth in this sector.
