Canberra: India to Face Australia in T20I Series
India will begin a five-match T20I series against Australia in Canberra, following Australia’s 2-1 victory in the recent ODI series. The teams have seen a few changes in personnel transitioning from the one-day format to the T20 format. Suryakumar Yadav will continue to captain the T20I side, with Shubman Gill serving as his deputy. Australia is set to reintegrate T20 specialists Tim David, Josh Inglis, and Marcus Stoinis, promising a competitive series between two strong teams.
India will be missing key all-rounder Hardik Pandya for the series, although they welcome back their lead bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, for the T20Is. The batting strength of India will be under scrutiny, especially as both Yadav and Gill did not perform notably in the Asia Cup. Australia’s focus will be on maintaining their aggressive approach that has proven successful against the West Indies, South Africa, and New Zealand.
