New Delhi: Hrithik Roshan is marking his 52nd birthday today, prompting a reflection on a significant chapter from the actor’s life that resonates with him and his fans. Known for his chiseled physique and impressive dance skills, many may not be aware that he faced a daunting prognosis regarding his fitness and talent.
Rakesh Roshan, Hrithik’s father, recently revealed that doctors had advised his son against dancing and building muscle due to a spinal condition. “He was very lean and thin; doctors said, ‘You will never be able to attain your physique or dance because of an inherent problem in your spinal cord,'” Rakesh Roshan stated during an interview on a television program.
Despite this diagnosis, Hrithik took on the challenge head-on, beginning his fitness journey by exercising with books before progressing to dumbbells. Rakesh Roshan recounted, “Then, slowly, he started with books, and from dumbbells, he built his physique.”
Reflecting on his medical journey, Hrithik Roshan recounted a pivotal moment before the release of “Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai,” where physicians had expressed doubt about his ability to participate in action and dance films. “I considered it a challenge and focused on improving my health and fitness. I learned how to excel in my work,” he remarked.
The “Dhoom 2” actor expressed gratitude for his current achievements, stating, “It’s nothing short of a miracle that I am able to perform action in my 25th movie, dance, and deliver lines. My 21-year-old self would be very proud of my journey today.”
