New Delhi: Lucknow Super Giants secured a notable victory in the ongoing IPL (Indian Premier League) 2026, defeating Kolkata Knight Riders by three wickets in the tournament’s 15th match at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
Kolkata Knight Riders batted first, setting a total of 181 runs. In response, Lucknow’s Mukul Choudhary played a pivotal role in the chase, scoring an impressive 54 runs off 27 deliveries. Lucknow successfully reached the target on the final ball of the match. Following the game, team captain Rishabh Pant praised Choudhary’s performance during the post-match presentation.
“When we see him (Mukul) in the nets, you can see his potential, but to perform in a match is just amazing. I don’t have the words to describe it; I’m overwhelmed by what he did,” Pant stated. He emphasized the importance of trust in a player, adding, “When you believe in someone, they can do wonders. That trust from management plays a significant role.”

Following their back-to-back victories, Lucknow Super Giants will face Gujarat Titans next. This match is scheduled for April 12 at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, as both teams aim to continue their winning streaks.
