MacOS Sequoia, or macOS 15, is available as a free update for Apple computers. However, certain features, such as Apple Intelligence (more details coming soon), are exclusive to Macs equipped with the M-series Apple silicon chip. To determine your Mac model, click on the Apple icon in the menu bar located at the upper-left corner of your screen and select About This Mac. How to Install MacOS Sequoia
Prior to installing the new OS, it is strongly recommended to back up your Mac. You can do this by utilizing Time Machine to back up your files or by saving your files in iCloud. Apple provides a support article with step-by-step guidance on how to proceed.
To download the software, click on the Apple menu in the upper-left corner of your display. Next, select System Settings > General > Software Update. After that, click on Update Now (or Upgrade Now). From that point, click on Upgrade Now—your Mac will initiate the downloading and installation of macOS Sequoia.
