Dilip Buildcon Secures ₹5,000 Crore Contract for NALCO Mining Project

The 25-year contract involves the development and operation of Pottangi Bauxite Mines along with an Overland Conveyor Corridor and allied facilities. The total project value stands at ₹5,000 crore, excluding GST, covering extraction of 84 million tonnes of bauxite.

The contract is structured in two phases. The first phase encompasses EPC work for three years, including construction of the overland conveyor corridor, roads, water intake facilities, and mining operations, valued at ₹1,750 crore for 7 million tonnes. The subsequent phase involves mining operations for 22 years, estimated at ₹3,250 crore for 77 million tonnes at current mining charges of ₹423 per tonne.

Following the announcement, Dilip Buildcon has closed its trading window for all insiders, designated persons, and their immediate relatives for 48 hours as per SEBI’s insider trading regulations. The window will remain shut until the information becomes generally available to the public.

The company has no related party transactions or promoter group interest in this contract, which has been awarded domestically.

The shares of Dilip Buildcon Ltd were trading on the NSE today at ₹432.85 up by ₹2.85 or 0.66 per cent at 12.28 pm.
