Yet another expression of interest has surfaced for dentsu’s international assets, which, media reports have been speculating, are for sale. Havas CFO and COO Francoise Laroze hinted that the agency is open to discussions on dentsu’s global business. He said the entire business may be too big, but Havas was open to looking at part of the assets or a partnership.
Meanwhile, dentsu India appears unconcerned over the speculations and has just launched its sports and entertainment network. Earlier, at Cannes in June, dentsu had announced the rollout of the division globally, expressing the network’s conviction in the power of sports and entertainment in connecting brands with culture at scale. Yosuke Murai has been appointed Head of dentsu sports and entertainment in India. The division will help brands engage with fans, creators and communities across metros, tier-2 towns and global stages.
