Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced on Monday that the Delhi government plans to unveil the ‘Viksit Delhi’ budget for the fiscal year 2025-26 in the assembly between March 24 and 26.

During a press conference, Gupta stated that the budget will be shaped by input from various community members. She emphasized the importance of creating a budget that reflects the needs of the people, mentioning that meetings will take place with representatives from different women’s organizations on March 5 at the assembly. Additionally, discussions will be held with stakeholders from the education sector and the business community on March 6.

The chief minister provided an email address and a WhatsApp number for Delhi residents to submit their suggestions for the upcoming budget.

Gupta reaffirmed her commitment to fulfilling all promises outlined in the BJP’s ‘Sankalp Patra’, noting that her administration is tackling this goal with urgency.

Moreover, she remarked that only two reports from the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) have been presented in the assembly thus far, which have already uncovered several allegations of corruption against the former AAP government. Gupta cautioned that twelve additional CAG reports are still pending, and more irregularities are expected to come to light.

Cabinet ministers Parvesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, and Manjinder Singh Sirsa joined her at the press conference.
