Crisil, an S&P Global Company, announced today the acquisition of McKinsey PriceMetrix Co (“PriceMetrix”), a firm that specializes in performance benchmarking and data-driven insights for the wealth management industry.
Based in Toronto, PriceMetrix serves wealth management firms across the US and Canada. Its proprietary database encompasses $8 trillion in assets under management and includes 30 million investment accounts.
The acquisition encompasses significant products such as ValueOne, FeeCheck, CommissionCheck, SignalOne, along with advisory services and various surveys of the North American wealth management sector.
“PriceMetrix’s proven expertise in wealth management and its rich data assets perfectly complement our existing offerings. Together, we will deliver enhanced insights and create significant value for clients globally,” stated Amish Mehta, Managing Director & CEO of Crisil.
Following the completion of the transaction, PriceMetrix will be integrated into Crisil Coalition Greenwich, with its employees transitioning to Crisil. McKinsey will continue to utilize PriceMetrix data for its client engagements.
The transaction is anticipated to be finalized in the coming months, pending the fulfillment of customary closing conditions.
