Sandeep Reddy Vanga, known for his controversial films like ‘Kabir Singh’ and ‘Animal’, has been in the spotlight for his contentious remarks and disputes with various celebrities. Recently, Vanga announced that he plans to make a film without a lead hero in the next five years, a decision that may appease female audiences. However, his previous films have drawn criticism for portraying alpha male, violent characters.

One such incident involved veteran lyricist and writer Javed Akhtar, who expressed concerns about Vanga’s film ‘Animal’ being detrimental to society. In response, Vanga dismissed Akhtar’s opinion, suggesting that his criticism was unwarranted.

Director Kiran Rao also condemned ‘Animal’ for its portrayal of women, prompting Vanga to defend his film by pointing out similar themes in other popular movies like ‘Dil’. Vanga argued that Rao’s criticism was unjustified, considering her association with films that also depicted controversial relationships.

Actor Adil Hussain, who starred in ‘Kabir Singh’, voiced regret over his involvement in the film, drawing a sharp response from Vanga. The filmmaker mocked Hussain for his lack of popularity in comparison to the success of ‘Kabir Singh’, insinuating that Hussain’s criticism was driven by envy.

Even a teacher, Vikas Divyakirti, criticized Vanga’s films for regressing societal progress. Vanga retaliated by questioning Divyakirti’s credentials, suggesting that becoming an IAS officer was a straightforward process compared to becoming a filmmaker or writer.

Amidst these controversies, Sandeep Reddy Vanga remains unapologetic about his filmmaking choices, sparking debates and disagreements within the industry.
