BJP Predicts Major Victory as NDA Set to Defeat Cong, RJD in Bihar

Ranchi, Sep 18 (PTI) – BJP national general secretary Arun Singh asserted that the Congress-RJD alliance is poised for a significant defeat in the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, predicting that the NDA will secure a commanding majority. Singh made his remarks at a media conference at the Jharkhand BJP headquarters on Thursday.

Singh stated, “The Congress will experience a complete wipeout in Bihar during the forthcoming elections. With the RJD aligned with the Congress, it too will face defeat. The NDA will form the government in Bihar with a solid majority.”

He criticized Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, accusing him of attacking constitutional institutions and claiming that the Congress party has been rejected by voters in recent elections. Singh emphasized, “Under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, the Congress will remain invisible across the country for the next 25-30 years.”

Additionally, Singh condemned the JMM-led government in Jharkhand, alleging that it has allowed the growth of ‘jungle raj’ by promoting criminal activities linked to land and stone mafias. He expressed concerns about deteriorating law and order in the state, citing the murder of social worker Surya Hansda, who had raised concerns about corruption and the sand mafia. “The BJP will continue to raise its voice against illegal activities in the state,” he reiterated.

Hansda, who had contested several assembly elections and was wanted in multiple criminal cases, died during an alleged police encounter on August 10 while being taken to recover hidden weapons. Police reported that Hansda attempted to flee and fired upon them, leading to a retaliatory response resulting in his death.

“It is evident that development work in Jharkhand has stalled, and issues like Naxalism are resurging,” Singh claimed, adding that the electoral victory of the JMM, Congress, and RJD alliance does not grant them the authority to exploit the state’s resources. “Voters expect development and improved law and order,” he concluded.

Singh also expressed concerns about increasing connections to Pakistan’s spy agency, the ISI, alleging these ties are proliferating due to what he termed the government’s appeasement politics. He urged the government to identify and take stringent action against individuals he described as traitors conspiring against the nation.
