BJP Condemns RJD Silence on Abusive Remarks About PM Modi’s Mother

Bharatiya Janata Party leader Amit Malviya criticized Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav for his silence regarding alleged derogatory remarks directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother during a recent rally. In a post on X, Malviya stated, “More than 24 hours have passed, but Tejashwi Yadav has not shown the slightest regret that RJD representatives insulted the late mother of Prime Minister Narendra ji at his rally.”

Malviya linked the incident to what he termed Tejashwi’s “vile speech,” asserting that it emboldened his supporters to engage in such behavior. He remarked, “It was only after Tejashwi’s vile speech that his workers dared to do this — he himself is responsible for it.” He added, “It is well-known that someone who has disowned his own sister and stabbed his own brother in the back cannot be expected to respect any woman. If he had education and values, he would never have resorted to such cheap tactics just before the Devi Paksha.”

He claimed that the women of Bihar would respond appropriately to Tejashwi, who he accused of having his supporters insult Modi’s mother from the stage. “The people of Bihar are hurt and outraged by the insult to Prime Minister Modi ji’s late mother,” Malviya said.

The controversy resurfaced after Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary shared a video of Tejashwi’s rally, alleging that he encouraged party workers to hurl insults. This follows a similar incident during Rahul Gandhi’s rally in Darbhanga weeks prior. Choudhary stated, “Tejashwi Yadav once again had Modi’s deceased mother abused. He has once again shattered Bihar’s culture. The more RJD workers hurled abuses at the rally, the more Tejashwi Yadav encouraged them. The mothers and sisters of Bihar will surely take account of this hooligan mentality and abuse.”

The RJD defended itself by claiming that the video in question was manipulated. Party leader Mukesh Raushan stated, “Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav ji is delivering a speech today at Mahua during the Bihar Adhikar Yatra. The speech is available on my Facebook page — you can listen to it. In it, no worker or any person has abused or used foul language towards the Hon’ble Prime Minister.”
