Bajaj Finserv Asset Management Company (AMC) has launched a new feature allowing investors to pay for daily expenses using mutual fund units. This innovative service, termed “Pay with Mutual Fund,” enables users to utilize their mutual fund investments for UPI transactions that are routed through their bank accounts, merging the realms of investing and spending.
With “Pay with Mutual Fund,” investors can earn higher returns in liquid funds compared to conventional savings accounts while maintaining instant access for daily expenditures. The redemption limit is consistent with the Insta Redemption facility, permitting investors to redeem up to ₹50,000 or 90 percent of their investment—whichever is lower—instantly.
This initiative is a collaboration with Curie Money, a leading fintech platform, which simplifies the transactional process directly from the investor’s mutual fund to the UPI, routed through their bank. By scanning a QR code and approving the payment, the redemption request is automatically executed in the background. This method ensures uninterrupted access to UPI for everyday transactions.
Ganesh Mohan, Managing Director of Bajaj Finserv AMC, stated that the UPI-linked feature empowers investors to keep their money actively growing while still having instant access to funds for daily needs. He emphasized, “Our vision is to make MFs seamlessly integrated into modern life—accessible, agile, and aligned with today’s pace.”
Since its inception in June 2023, Bajaj Finserv AMC has significantly expanded in both size and scope, reporting a total Assets Under Management (AUM) of ₹28,814 crore.
