Bharti Airtel has cemented its position as the top telecom operator in Kerala with more than 11,000 network sites spread across the state, the company revealed today. Over the past two years, Bharti Airtel has added around 2,500 new sites, surpassing its competitors in terms of network coverage.

The stock of Bharti Airtel Limited closed at ₹1,704 on the NSE today, marking a decrease of ₹66.85 or 4.08 per cent.

Gokul J, the Chief Operating Officer for Kerala, shared that the company has focused on enhancing network density in all 14 districts of the state to deliver better services. This expansion includes both rural and urban areas, covering key districts like Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, and Kozhikode.

An Opensignal report referenced in the announcement highlights Airtel’s dominance across various performance metrics, such as video experience, live video streaming, gaming experience, and upload speeds on its 5G network.

Airtel has extended its 5G coverage to popular tourist spots in Kerala, including the water metro stations in Kochi, the beaches of Varkala, and the hill station of Munnar.

With a customer base of over 550 million in 15 countries, Airtel operates as India’s largest integrated communications solutions provider and the second-largest mobile operator in Africa.
