Cipla and Eli Lilly and Company (India) on Thursday announced an agreement to distribute and promote type-2 diabetes and chronic weight management drug Tirzepatide under a new brand name, Yurpeak, in India. Tirzepatide was launched in India by Lilly in March 2025 under the brand name Mounjaro. Under the agreement, Cipla has the rights to distribute and promote Yurpeak, the second brand of Tirzepatide in India, the two companies said in a joint statement shared on BSE by Cipla.

Insolvency appellate tribunal NCLAT has asked Hinduja group firm IndusInd International Holdings Ltd (IIHL) to submit a timeframe by which it will discontinue using the Reliance trademark for the financial service firm Reliance Capital. The counsel appearing for IIHL submitted before NCLAT that the process of name change after the acquisition of Reliance Capital has already started, and is likely to be completed in eight weeks.

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) was hearing an appeal filed by Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Ventures Pvt Ltd (ADAVL), which has sought a stay over the use of the trademark Reliance after the takeover of Reliance Capital, through the insolvency resolution process.

Healthy snacking brand Wonderland Foods on Thursday announced it would raise ₹140 crore in the first round of funding for its next phase of growth and scale its presence in India’s branded dry fruits and nuts market. This institutional funding round was led by Asha Ventures and British International Investments (BII), the UK’s development finance institution and impact investor, said a statement from the NCR–based healthy snacking brand. “The investment will help the company set up a green processing facility and generate 1,000+ formal jobs primarily for women,” it added.

Hero MotoCorp on Thursday announced its foray into the UK in partnership with MotoGB. The company will introduce its advanced Euro 5+ range, featuring Hunk 440, designed to meet the growing demand for high-performance motorcycles in the region, as part of its UK launch, MotoCorp said in a statement. The UK entry marks the company’s 51st international market, strengthening its footprint across Europe, it added.

Premier Energies on Thursday announced its foray into transformer manufacture by acquiring a majority 51 per cent stake in Transcon Industries for a total consideration of ₹500.3 crore. The acquisition is a key milestone in its strategy to become a fully-integrated clean energy solutions provider, Premier Energies said in a statement. The renewable energy player said it has entered into definitive agreements to acquire a 51 per cent ownership interest in Transcon Industries for a total consideration of ₹500.3 crore.

Welspun Enterprises has received a GST order from the Tamil Nadu State GST Authority for FY 2018-19, totalling ₹18 crore (₹9 crore tax demand and ₹9 crore penalty). The order alleges ineligible input tax credit claims. The company deems the demand unjustifiable and plans to appeal before the Tribunal. Welspun Enterprises says it doesn’t foresee any material impact on its activities.

Coal India arm SECL’s 12 coal mining projects are running behind schedule due to reasons like delays in green clearances and possession of land. These projects have been facing delays even as the government is focussing on boosting domestic coal production to reduce imports. South Eastern Coalfields Ltd (SECL) is a Mini Ratna public sector enterprise.

NTPC Green Energy has announced that a part capacity of 9.9 MW of wind power has been declared commercially operational with effect from October 25. The capacity is part of the total installed 92.4 MW wind project located in Bhuj, Gujarat, developed by Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Ltd, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Private Ltd., which, in turn, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Ltd, a joint venture between ONGC and NTPC Green Energy Ltd.
