Rays of Belief Ltd, a for-profit social enterprise and parent company of Mom’s Belief, is set to launch its initial public offering (IPO) on September 1, 2026. The IPO aims to raise funds for the expansion of its services across India, with a particular focus on establishing 319 new operational centres by FY29.

IPO Details and Financial Backbone

The upcoming IPO will remain open until September 3, with anchor investors bidding scheduled for August 31, according to the recently published Red Herring Prospectus (RHP). This public offering involves a fresh issue of up to 52.30 lakh equity shares, with no component for existing shareholders to sell their shares.

Prior to the IPO, Rays of Belief successfully raised ₹5.89 crore through a pre-IPO private placement. This has reduced the size of the initial share offering from 60 lakh shares to the current estimate. The shares in this placement were priced at ₹284 and ₹290 each, as noted in the RHP filed on August 19, 2026.

Expansion Plans of Rays of Belief Ltd

As part of its broader expansion strategy, the company intends to allocate approximately ₹41.36 crore from the IPO proceeds. Specifically, ₹34.99 crore will be earmarked for fit-out expenses for the new centres, ₹1.93 crore for therapy material inventory, and ₹4.44 crore for technology hardware.

This strategic expansion aims to enhance access to neurodevelopmental care services, particularly in Tier-II and Tier-III cities across India. As of March 31, 2026, Rays of Belief had already established 136 centres in 57 cities spread across 20 states and Union Territories, making significant inroads into underserved areas.

Growth in Demand for Specialized Care

The IPO is being launched at a time when awareness about developmental conditions among children is on the rise, along with increased diagnoses. Rays of Belief, serving over 58,000 children since its inception in 2018, positions itself well to meet this growing demand. According to a recent CARE report, the company ranks first in India and seventh globally by the number of centres among publicly listed firms in the behavioural health sector.

Despite reporting a consolidated revenue increase to ₹81.66 crore for FY26, up from ₹36.42 crore in FY25, the company experienced a decline in profits, reporting ₹4.96 crore compared to ₹5.88 crore the previous year. The decline raises questions about operational efficiencies as the company scales up.

What This Means

The launch of Rays of Belief’s IPO marks a significant moment in India’s social enterprise and healthcare landscape. With increasing awareness and diagnosis rates regarding neurodevelopmental conditions, the market for specialized therapies is expected to grow. This IPO will not only assist in financing new centres but also contribute to raising standards of care in an underserved sector.

As the company targets Tier-II and Tier-III cities, it may lead to improved healthcare accessibility in regions where services have historically been lacking. The success of this IPO could also inspire other social enterprises in India to pursue similar paths for growth and expansion.
