BJP Unleashes AI Video Mocking DK Shivakumar Before Karnataka Swearing-In Ceremony

Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of DK Shivakumar as the new Chief Minister of Karnataka, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a series of attacks against the Congress government on social media platform X, highlighting perceived failures in governance.

In an AI-generated video released late Tuesday, BJP Karnataka showcased Shivakumar navigating through waterlogged roads in an SUV. The party emphasized its criticism of the Congress-led administration’s handling of agricultural issues, particularly as the state approaches the monsoon season. BJP officials alleged that the government has not ensured the availability of sufficient and quality seeds and fertilizers, nor provided compensation to farmers affected by crop losses due to rainfall.

“The state Congress government has completely neglected farmers. It has failed to provide adequate quality seeds and fertilizers to the food providers preparing for the monsoon,” the BJP stated, further asserting that farmers would continue to face hardships until the current government is ousted. The post also included a stark message suggesting that the Congress party views farmers as expendable.

Additionally, the BJP raised concerns regarding the welfare of Dalits, accusing the Congress government of securing votes from this community but failing to address their needs once in power. The party criticized the government’s policies as “anti-Dalit” and claimed that it has neglected infrastructure and development initiatives within Dalit communities. “It is the hallmark of this Congress government to come to power by securing Dalit votes, only to push the very same Dalit community into the most pitiable condition,” the BJP asserted.

DK Shivakumar, 64, is scheduled to be sworn in as Karnataka’s Chief Minister today at approximately 4 PM at the Glass House in Lok Bhavan, with Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot administering the oath of office and secrecy. Alongside Shivakumar, several ministers are expected to take the oath in the first phase of the new cabinet’s formation. Shivakumar was elected leader of the Congress Legislature Party last week, following the resignation of outgoing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah as mandated by the party’s high command.
