New Delhi: Delhi Capitals are set to host Gujarat Titans in the 14th match of the Indian Premier League 2026. Both teams have had differing starts to their IPL 2026 campaigns; the Capitals have secured two consecutive wins, while the Titans have lost both of their opening matches.

The Capitals achieved victory against Lucknow Super Giants at Ekana Cricket Stadium, successfully chasing down a target of 142 on a pitch that proved challenging. They followed this up with a win over Mumbai Indians at Arun Jaitley Stadium, where they chased 163 runs. Sameer Rizvi emerged as a key player for the Capitals in these matches.

Conversely, the Titans faced a narrow defeat to Punjab Kings in Mullanpur after failing to defend a total of 162 runs, with Punjab clinching the win in the final over with three wickets remaining. They also encountered another close loss against Rajasthan Royals, falling short by six runs while chasing a target of 211 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

As they prepare to meet in Delhi, rain looms on the horizon, although weather reports indicated sunny conditions in the capital earlier on match day. Here’s an overview of the pitch conditions at Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Arun Jaitley Stadium Pitch Report

The pitch at Arun Jaitley Stadium is expected to facilitate a high-scoring match. In the four night games held at this venue during IPL 2024 and 2025, teams frequently scored over 200 runs, particularly when batting in the latter stages of the innings. Should rain occur before or during the match, the dampening of the surface and outfield could aid fast bowlers in achieving seam movement. Currently, the weather remains clear and sunny.

Arun Jaitley Stadium – Statistics Overview

  • Matches Played: 98
  • Matches Won Batting First: 47
  • Matches Won Batting Second: 50
  • Matches with No Result: 1
  • Highest Team Innings: 278/3 by Sunrisers Hyderabad vs. Kolkata Knight Riders
