New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell Continues to Shine with Century Against India
New Delhi: Daryl Mitchell, the New Zealand cricket star, showcased his outstanding form once again, scoring another century in the ongoing ODI series against India. Following his scores of 84 and an unbeaten 131 in the first two ODIs, Mitchell added yet another hundred in the third ODI at the Holkar Stadium in Indore.
His strong performance against India continues, as this century marked his fourth ODI hundred against the Indian team. Mitchell has exhibited remarkable consistency, having recorded five consecutive fifty-plus scores against India during matches played in India.
In achieving his hundred in Indore, Mitchell surpassed legendary players such as Viv Richards and Ricky Ponting. With four centuries against India, he now has more ODI centuries than Richards and Joe Root against the Indian team.
Notably, all four of Mitchell’s centuries against India have been scored on Indian soil, placing him second for the most centuries against India in India.

His previous scores also include 134 during the ODI World Cup 2023 semifinal against India at Wankhede, as well as 130 in the league stage match earlier in Dharamsala.
