India’s tour to Bangladesh has been postponed to September 2026, as confirmed by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), according to a report from Cricbuzz. Initially, the Indian team was scheduled to visit Bangladesh in 2025, but the tour was canceled over a year prior due to strains in bilateral relations.
The newly confirmed tour aligns with BCB’s home season plan, which will feature matches against top teams, including Australia, New Zealand, and Pakistan. India is set to arrive in Bangladesh on August 28, with a three-match ODI series scheduled for September 1, 3, and 6. This will be followed by a three-match T20I series on September 9, 12, and 13.
“The confirmed itinerary ensures a season full of international cricket in Bangladesh, providing supporters across the country the opportunity to watch top-level cricket at home, while details of match venues will be announced in due course,” the BCB stated.
Prior to India’s visit, Bangladesh will host Pakistan in a three-match ODI series from March 12 to 16. Following that, New Zealand will be visiting for a series that consists of three ODIs and three T20Is scheduled between April and May. Pakistan will return later for two Test matches, with the first Test taking place from May 8-12 and the second from May 16-20.
In addition, Australia is slated to travel to Bangladesh for a white-ball series, beginning with three ODIs from June 5 and followed by three T20Is scheduled between June 15 and 20. After hosting India, Bangladesh will also face the West Indies in a two-match Test series, with the first match set for October 28 – November 1 and the second from November 5-9.
