New Delhi: Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have recently showcased a return to form reminiscent of their peak performances in One Day Internationals (ODIs). Both players have excelled since the Australia series, continuing their impressive showings in the following South Africa series and during the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Rohit Sharma recorded scores of 73 and a not-out 121 in two ODIs against Australia, followed by 57 and 75 in two of the three ODIs against South Africa. Kohli also displayed remarkable form, achieving four consecutive fifty-plus scores against Australia and South Africa, which included innings of 131 and 77 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Fans are eagerly anticipating their next appearances as they pursue their objectives leading up to the 2027 ODI World Cup.
When will Kohli and Rohit be in action next?
Kohli is scheduled to participate in another round of the Vijay Hazare Trophy on January 6, while Rohit is expected to miss the tournament after completing the minimum two matches required by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Both players will next feature in a three-match ODI series against New Zealand at home, beginning January 11. Subsequently, they will participate in the Indian Premier League 2026, while the remainder of the team engages in T20 Internationals and the T20 World Cup 2026.
Later in the year, Kohli and Rohit will travel to England for three ODIs against the national team in July.
