Brookfield India Real Estate Trust has initiated a ₹3,500-crore qualified institutional placement (QIP) to raise capital. According to a regulatory filing, the issue committee of the board of directors of Brookprop Management Services Pvt Ltd, the manager of Brookfield India REIT, approved the commencement of the QIP on December 4.
British American Tobacco (BAT) announced on Thursday its intention to divest between 7% and its entire 15.3% stake in ITC Hotels through an accelerated bookbuild process. The final number of shares sold will be determined to optimize pricing outcomes for BAT. “British American Tobacco p.l.c. reports that its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Tobacco Manufacturers (India), Myddleton Investment Company, and Rothmans International Enterprises, intend to sell between 7% and 15.3% of the issued ordinary share capital in ITC Hotels, subject to customary closing conditions,” the UK-based company stated in a release.
Tata Power Company revealed it expects to resume operations at its supercritical thermal plant in Mundra by December 31, 2025. The power producer has been taking necessary measures to restart the plant, which has remained closed since July. In November, Businessline reported that operations would recommence by year-end, with Tata Power anticipated to sign a supplementary power purchase agreement with the Gujarat government, which is one of its customers.
The board of Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd approved the acquisition of the remaining 10% stake in Motherson Lumen Systems South Africa Pty Ltd for ₹5.19 crore. Upon completion of the transaction, Motherson Lumen SA will be an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of SAMIL. The company had previously acquired a stake in Lumen Systems in April 2024.

SEAMEC has finalized an agreement with HAL Offshore for deploying its multi-support vessel SEAMEC Agastya, previously known as NPP Nusantara. The vessel is set to join HAL Offshore’s project under a contract with the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) after completing mandatory dry-dock maintenance. The deployment period is planned for five years.
Deepak Chem Tech, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Deepak Nitrite, has commenced operations at its new nitric acid plant located in Nandesari, Vadodara, Gujarat. The facility started operating on December 4, 2025, following an investment of approximately ₹515 crore.
