Genesys International Corporation has been awarded a contract worth ₹17.38 crore by Bureau Veritas to conduct India’s inaugural 3D subsurface mapping project at six airports operated by the Adani Group. The Mumbai-based company made the announcement on Friday, marking its foray into advanced underground utility detection.
The project will utilize 3D Ground Penetrating Radar technology to map underground utilities at airports in Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, Lucknow, Jaipur, Guwahati, and Ahmedabad. In addition, Genesys will implement high-precision LiDAR systems to produce detailed 3D Building Information Modeling outputs, enhancing the understanding of complete airport environments.
Bureau Veritas, a France-headquartered provider of testing and certification services with over 190 years of experience, awarded this contract to facilitate infrastructure development at the respective airport sites. This initiative represents a significant diversification of Genesys’ portfolio, extending beyond traditional surface mapping methods.
Sajid Malik, Chairman and Managing Director of Genesys International, emphasized that the introduction of 3D subsurface mapping is a transformative advancement for India’s infrastructure sector. He noted that this technology addresses critical infrastructure modernization needs through accurate detection and mapping of underground utilities.
Employing over 2,000 professionals, Genesys has managed large-scale geospatial projects both in India and Saudi Arabia. Recently, the company launched 3D Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) navigation maps, which have received nominations from Tata Motors.
Concerning its stock market performance, shares of Genesys International Corporation Ltd closed at ₹439 on the National Stock Exchange, reflecting an increase of ₹39.90 or 10 percent, following an intraday low of ₹390.25, which also marked its 52-week low.
