Cyient Limited has announced an expansion of its strategic partnership with CNH Industrial’s Construction Equipment division, focusing on the development of autonomous solutions for construction machinery. The announcement was made on Thursday and marks a continuation of over two years of collaboration between the Hyderabad-based engineering solutions provider and CNH.
The partnership has already yielded advancements, including an advanced perception system for wheel loaders, which was showcased at the Bauma exhibition held in Munich, Germany. The newly expanded initiative aims to scale these autonomous solutions across a range of vehicle platforms, enhancing safety, efficiency, and operational productivity.
Humayun Chishti, President of CNH Construction, emphasized Cyient’s role as a vital partner in the creation of the advanced perception system and in fostering autonomy throughout CNH’s construction equipment product line. Additionally, Cyient CEO Sukamal Banerjee noted that this advanced perception system is merely the starting point for their joint endeavors, with plans for further co-development of autonomous construction equipment solutions.
CNH Industrial, which is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange, manufactures both construction and agricultural equipment under well-known brands such as CASE and New Holland Construction Equipment. The company employs more than 35,000 individuals worldwide.
On the other hand, Cyient specializes in intelligent engineering solutions and serves over 300 global customers. Established in 1991, the company operates across multiple sectors including products, plants, and networks.
As of the latest trading session, Cyient Limited’s shares closed at ₹1,116, reflecting a decrease of ₹2.40, or 0.21 percent.
