Bharti Airtel shares rose over 2 percent in morning trading on Tuesday, reaching a new 52-week high of ₹2,135.60, following the company’s strong performance in its second-quarter results. The stock was priced at ₹2,115.70, up ₹41.70 or 2.01 percent from its previous close of ₹2,074, with trading volumes of 75.78 lakh shares on the NSE.
The telecom giant reported consolidated revenues of ₹52,145 crore for Q2 FY26, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 25.7 percent. The India segment contributed significantly with revenues of ₹38,690 crore, a 22.6 percent YoY increase, attributed to ongoing premiumisation in the mobile market and substantial growth in its homes business.
Consolidated EBITDA for the quarter was recorded at ₹29,919 crore, achieving a healthy margin of 57.4 percent. Additionally, net income before exceptional items rose to ₹6,792 crore, an increase from ₹3,911 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. Mobile Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) showed improvement, rising to ₹256 from ₹233 in Q2 FY25, indicating better revenue realizations.
In the homes division, Airtel added 951,000 net customers during the quarter, leading to a remarkable 30.2 percent YoY revenue growth. The Airtel Business segment reported a sequential revenue uptick of 4.3 percent.
Moreover, the company improved its net debt to EBITDA ratio significantly to 1.63 times, down from 2.50 times a year prior, showcasing effective deleveraging strategies.
