Siemens Digital Industries Software Appoints Abhijit Bhalerao as Leader of Professional Services in India

Abhijit Bhalerao has been appointed as the Leader of Professional Services for India at Siemens Digital Industries Software, marking a significant step in the country’s digital transformation efforts. In this new capacity, Bhalerao will oversee the Engagement and Program Management Services verticals, driving Siemens-led digital transformations across its software offerings in India.

In his new role, Bhalerao’s immediate focus will be on enhancing the delivery of digital transformation projects and ensuring alignment between technology strategy and business objectives. He aims to promote IT-OT (Information Technology-Operational Technology) convergence as a critical driver of innovation within industrial enterprises.

“I’m excited to take on this new role, which offers a unique opportunity to leverage my experience in contributing to the complex and forward-looking journey of IT-OT convergence—an essential catalyst in driving true digital transformation for industrial enterprises,” stated Bhalerao.

Bhalerao brings over 25 years of experience in consulting and corporate leadership. He has previously served as CIO for companies such as Raymond’s Lifestyle Business, Nuvoco Vistas Corp., and Force Motors, where he played key roles in implementing large-scale enterprise technology initiatives.

“I am thrilled to join Siemens Digital Industries Software, where innovation meets execution. Siemens’ futuristic solutions unlock business value by seamlessly integrating Industrial AI, redefining the boundaries between the physical and digital worlds,” he remarked.

Throughout his career, Bhalerao has utilized emerging technologies, including AI, IoT, and AR/VR, to enhance functions across supply chain, sales, and human resources, delivering measurable results. His decision to join Siemens was influenced by the company’s proactive stance on industrial software and commitment to innovation. Bhalerao emphasizes the necessity of bridging strategy and execution to create tangible business value. He believes that successful digital transformation involves integrating technology, people, and processes to achieve measurable impact—a principle he plans to uphold in his new role.

With this appointment, Siemens adds a seasoned transformation leader with extensive technical expertise and a strategic vision, poised to accelerate India’s path toward digitally empowered industrial enterprises.
